PHLUR product pages

When starting this brand, we were faced with a question: how do you sell fragrance online? We observed other brands in the space were either providing a scent quiz (which yields wildly humorous results) or simply showing the fragrance bottle and listing the notes. Neither approach felt right for this brand.

We spoke to fragrance experts, psychology experts, to a fragrance psychology expert (it's a thing!) and the overwhelming theme that emerged is that people need context around scent in order to decide if they like the smell or not.

The product detail pages are designed to act as visual narratives, which are partially inspired by the original mood boards the perfumers were provided. The idea is that if you connect with the imagery, text and playlist on the product page, it's likely you'll enjoy the scent.
